Our neighbors are fascinated by them. Not the least bit aggressive,

it takes the no time to learn anything. Heather, we thank you

PURR
Ben
Purr is out of Asia and Sambuca. New Mom Karen Writes: We
call him Ben or "Mister Purr"..depends on the occasion or what
item has stolen! Metal sink plugs, shreds our J-cloths and our
rubber gloves we use when cleaning the parrot cage. When I
was sick, Ben laid with me each day, all day...almost as if
he knew his Mom was sick! Ben loves water, chases the mop, then
plays with the water bucket!

I thought you might be interested
in an update on your boy. I call him
Gryphon and he was born 11 July 2000 (so you can look him up).
He has grown into a rambunctious, but graceful leopard, as you
would expect from any Bengal - good natured, intelligent, very
inquisitive, and playful. He will fetch toys for hours,
and unlike a dog, he brings the toy right back to you, puts it
by your foot and sits patiently waiting for your to throw it again. He
is very muscular although not as large as my previous Bengal
male. He runs rings around my other cats, and me, and my
husband. I have six other cats, so he has lots of company.
I love to see them all sleeping together in a pile on the couch.
If they were not different types, you would never know where one
stops and another begins. When he first arrived, Gryphon was
immediately adopted by my dominant female, Lynx, a Smoke
Egyptian Mau. I do mean immediately: she only
watched him for a few minutes before deciding to give him a
bath, and after that they were fast friends. She would
have been a great mother, but I do not breed cats. All
mine are spayed or neutered. Lynx remains 'in charge' and
she is the only one Gryphon defers to.
Gryphon himself has adopted Arielle, a young female Brown &
White Cornish Rex, as his special friend. Despite, the
size difference - Gryphon is more than twice her weight, they
play together recklessly, and are virtually inseparable.
His more equal wrestling partner and other best bud is Klaatu, a
young male Sable Burmese. The two of them throw each other
around as if they were in a kungfu film, but it's all in fun.
When the four of them, Gryphon, Lynx, Arielle and Klaatu, all
start playing tag at the same time they sound like a herd of
rampaging elephants. Whoever said cats are quiet pets
never actually had any, I'm sure. Gryphon has invented a unique
game, which he plays by himself. He puts a small brown
paper bag over his head and walks around the house that way,
even up and down stairs. When he collides with something,
he takes it off, looks around, then puts the bag back on, and
off he goes again. I have never seen or heard of any cat
doing this. Have you? We started supplying him with
bags after he first started playing the game using my husband's
slipper, and empty kleenex boxes.
I have three other girls to complete my family of seven: a
White Turkish
Angora, a Bluepoint Siamese, and a Ruddy Abyssinian.
Anyway, I am very glad to find your cattery still operating. |
Dear Heather:
Thank you for letting us spend so much time with your
cats/kittens last
Friday. Shona is still talking about it, 5 kittens on her
lap was a dream
come true! I was very impressed with the cleanliness of
your cattery.
Your cats are beautiful and you seem to be a very knowledgeable
and
personable breeder.
I have already located a store here in town who carries Eagle
Pack and
have started switching my cat and dog. Thank you for
suggesting this
food, it looks great.
We look forward to hearing if there is a little girl for us in
the next
couple of weeks. She will be truly loved and cherished in
my home.

Orion
is an amazing cat and gets along with are other two cats, and
the dog.
He
is a very curious creature who is snooping around in the sink,
playing with the sink plugs, standing under running water and
letting it run down his back, I guess it is one of his ways
to clean himself.
Orion
knows how to open doors, as he flings them open with his paws,
he can also open the screens on windows as we caught him doing
this numerous times, and to our surprise we caught him sun
bathing on the roof of the house, so we have to really keep
our eyes on him when ever the windows are open in the warmer
months.
Orion
loves to climb trees and artificial Christmas trees as well.
He will sit on top of the Television for hours as he watches
the birds in the bird feeder, on occasion he will jump or pounce
at the windows hoping or dreaming of catching a bird.
Orion
loves to play hide and seek with us his owners (Renee & Rick)
as he will chase us from room to room to see where we have hidden.
Also we have purchased him two remote control cars for Christmas
and he absolutely loves to chase them around the house.

I
just wanted you to know that he is the most beautiful creature
we have
ever been lucky enough to have in our lives and we treat him like
our little
child (the one we don't have yet!!). His temperment is devine.
His warmth is
comforting. His playfullness is hilarious. His intelligence is
remarkable.
Thanks, again for allowing us to take him home. Use me a as a
reference
anytime. You really should be very proud of your cattery. Our
kitten is
proof of your kindness and commitment to animals. |

I.C.SPOTS
CHANTILLY LACE
We had a funny episode last night.....the phone rang and I had
left the
toilet seat cover up by mistake....well needless to say
that during my
phone conversation I heard this funny noise and went to see.
When breeders say that Bengals like water they are not kidding
as there was Lacey almost in the bowl. When I chased her
away she was wet from under her chin, all down the front and both
front legs and paws....I guess she was fishing! Lucky it was just
clean water and she had Simba to help dry her off.

Hi
Heather,
She
has arrived safe and sound. We picked her up at about
5:45. When we arrived at the air canada cargo place she
was not there yet. We are naming her Walteretta after
my Dad, her nick name was going to be Wally but I think that
I will wait until we get to know each other better. She is trying
to make friends with Scraps (my other cat who is 9 monthes old).
The trip home was great and she was so good. My kids did not
want to go to bed this evening, they wanted to watch her get
to know her new home. She is so soft and beautiful I know that
she will fit in to our home. What a feisty little girl, she
has Scraps confused. My other cat thinks that she is a dog and
does not know what cats are. My best friend came over right
after we got home and she thinks that she is beautiful. Thank
you so much for Walteretta we love her already.
